The beauty of our world - its colors and shapes, both natural and manmade - are a constant fascination to me. I grew up in Michigan, in a large, boisterous family, where winters painted frosty pictures on my bedroom windows; summer skies created fluffy shapes of animals; fall spread a rainbow of colors everywhere; spring made everything fresh, new, always full of color;  and, so, began my love affair with drawing. It took me to my quiet place, so hard to find in a large family!  My artwork is still my quiet place.
